Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kitchen Passport mobile application ("the App"), published by P D Gardiner ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you're under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only make a purchase with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who authorizes the purchase through the App Store or Google Play account used.

The service

Kitchen Passport generates world-cuisine recipes using artificial intelligence, based on filters you choose (main ingredient, country, and other optional criteria). Each recipe includes an AI-generated photo of the finished dish and step-by-step instructions. You can save recipes to Favourites, add ingredients to a Shopping List, and browse recipes other users have engaged with under Top Picks.

Lifetime access purchase

• Full use of the recipe search and generation feature requires a one-time "Lifetime Access" purchase. There is no subscription — you pay once.
• A small selection of sample recipes is available to browse for free without purchasing.
• Your purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and their respective terms and refund policies apply to the transaction itself. We don't process payments or store your card details.
• If you reinstall the App or use a new device, use the "Restore Purchases" option (available on the paywall and in Settings) to restore your entitlement.
• For refund requests, please contact Apple or Google directly through their standard refund processes, since they process the payment.

Acceptable use

By using the App, you agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass, automate, or excessively use the recipe-generation feature outside of normal personal use;
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the App's underlying prompts, models, or data;
• Submit false, abusive, or malicious reports through the "Report an issue" feature;
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the service for other users.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including accounts found to be abusing the recipe-generation system.

Your content

You retain ownership of anything you submit through the App (such as a report). By submitting it, you grant us a license to use it to operate, moderate, and improve the service.

AI-generated content

Recipes, ingredient lists, cooking instructions, and dish photos in the App are generated by artificial intelligence. See our Recipe & AI-Content Disclaimer for important information about the accuracy and limitations of this content, which forms part of these Terms.

Intellectual property

The Kitchen Passport name, logo, and app design are our property. Recipes and images generated through the App are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will always be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, P D Gardiner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any harm resulting from following a recipe generated by the App. See the Recipe & AI-Content Disclaimer for more on food-safety responsibility.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
